Job summary

GXO Logistics, in partnership with B&Q, is seeking a Drivers Mate to join the Store to Home team in Bristol (BS37 5QR). This full-time, permanent role runs Tuesday to Saturday starting at 06:00 and covers 48 hours per week as part of a two-person delivery team.

You’ll receive £12.71 per hour (£31,724.16 per year) plus holiday pay, pension, discounts, and funded training opportunities. DBS check is required pre-employment and you may be asked to undertake additional training as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience of dealing with multi drop home delivery preferred but not essential.
• Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to complete manual handling tasks such as pulling, lifting and pushing.
• Be prepared to commute to Bristol (BS37 5QR).

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a two-person team delivering products to customer premises (room of choice).
• Assist the delivery driver with parking, manoeuvring and loading/unloading of vehicles.
• Provide effective customer service while ensuring goods are delivered in excellent condition.
• Ensure that customers are kept informed of their estimated time of delivery and any issues are communicated in a polite and courteous manner.

Here at GXO, we're working together with B&Q and are looking for a Drivers Mate to join our Store to Home team in Bristol (BS37 5QR).

You'll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, Tuesday to Saturday, with a start time at 06:00. The role is contracted to 48 hours per week.

What you'll do on a typical day:

• Work as a part of two-person team delivering products to customer premises (room of choice)
