Job summary

GXO Logistics in Avonmouth (BS11 0YD) is offering a full-time Driver Mate and Warehouse Operative role on the early shift (05:00 start, Monday to Friday). The position supports transport operations and broader warehouse tasks to keep the site running smoothly.

Ideal candidates will have Driver Mate experience, be reliable and customer-focused, and able to work both independently and as part of a team while maintaining health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading vehicle.
• Assist throughout the delivery and collection process.
• Carry out tasks / reasonable requests as required.
• Be responsible for reporting issues to customer care.
• Take ownership of paperwork.
• Support the driver with navigation as required.
• Work as a banksman when required.
• Support depot with the off-loading and stowing of empty containers.

Job description

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dual-role position as a Driver Mate and Warehouse Operative at our Greene King site in Avonmouth (BS11 0YD).

You will work closely with the transport team to support GXO Logistics in fulfilling its responsibilities for the distribution of Greene King products. In addition, you will provide support across the warehouse operation as required, ensuring the site runs efficiently and operational needs are met.

This is a full time, permanent role. You will be working Monday to Friday on the early shift, starting 05:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
