Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc in Bristol is seeking a Drivers Mate to join the Store to Home team on a full-time permanent basis, starting at 06:00, Tuesday to Saturday, with a 48-hour week.

You’ll work as part of a two-person delivery team, assisting the driver with parking, loading and unloading, and ensuring goods are delivered in excellent condition while delivering great customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience of dealing with multi drop home delivery preferred but not essential.
• Excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to complete manual handling tasks such as pulling, lifting and pushing.
• Can do attitude with a knack for problem solving.
• Willingness to undertake pre-employment DBS Check.
• Be prepared to commute to Bristol for the required shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Work as a part of two-person team delivering products to customer premises (room of choice).
• Assist the delivery driver in parking and manoeuvring a company vehicle as well as loading and unloading of vehicles as and when required.
• Provide effective customer service while ensuring goods are delivered in excellent condition.
• Ensure that customers are kept informed of their estimated time of delivery and any issues are communicated in a polite and courteous manner.

Here at GXO, we’re working together with B&Q and are looking for a Drivers Mate to join our Store to Home team in Bristol (BS37 5QR).

You’ll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, Tuesday to Saturday, with a start time at 06:00. The role is contracted to 48 hours per week.
