Job summary

Veolia is hiring a driver in Newhaven to deliver, remove or replace wheelie bins. The role runs 48 hours per week, with a 4am start, Monday to Friday, and potential weekend work.

Salary is £41,429.28 per annum with Veolia benefits, plus £5 daily meal allowance and weekly pay. The successful candidate will hold a valid HGV Class 2 licence (Cat C), CPC, and Digi/Tachograph Card, with good local knowledge and flexibility for shifts.

Qualifications

• Essential: HGV Class 2 (Cat C) licence.
• Essential: Up-to-date CPC.
• Essential: Digi/Tachograph Card.

Responsibilities

• Drive to planned locations to deliver, remove or replace wheelie bins.
• Record information in onboard system; keep paperwork up to date and submit daily.
• Perform daily vehicle checks as per driver operator handbook.
• Comply with traffic laws and load weight regulations.

What you’ll be doing ;

• Driving to planned locations to deliver, remove or replace wheelie bins
• Ensuring all information is input into the onboard system and all paperwork is kept up to date and submitted daily
• Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook
• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including and weight of loads

What we’re looking for ;

Essential:

• HGV Class 2 (Cat C) licence
• Up to date CPC
• Digi / Tachograph Card

Desired:

• Prior Experience in the Waste Industry
• Good Local geographical knowledge
