Job summary

Veolia in Hull, UK is seeking a driver to join our waste collection team. You will drive to planned locations, load and empty bins, and perform daily vehicle checks. This role offers early start times and a 48-hour week, with 1 in 8 Saturdays rotation.

We require a Class 2 (Cat C) licence, up-to-date CPC and Digi Tachograph card. Benefits include 22 days of annual leave, a pension scheme, and access to a range of wellbeing resources.

Qualifications

• Hold Class 2 (Cat C) licence and CPC up to date.
• Digi Tachograph card holder required.
• Clean driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive to planned collection locations and move/empty bins.
• Lift bins of various weights and sizes while on the move.
• Perform daily vehicle checks per operator handbook.
• Record work notes using onboard technology.
• Comply with traffic laws and load security requirements.
• Ensure the carriageway is kept clean and spills are cleaned.

Based on £41,429.28 per annum plus Veolia benefits - Weekly Pay

£5.00 Daily meal allowance

Single person allowance - Earn an extra £41.16 daily when you complete over 110 bins

Hours: 48 hours per week - start times between 4-6am

Required to work 1 in 8 Saturdays

What you'll be doing;

• Driving to planned collection locations and moving / emptying multiple waste containers


• Lifting bins of all weights and sizes so you are always on the go


• Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook


• Using onboard technology to complete work notes


• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including security and weight of loads


• Ensuring that the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up
