Job summary

Veolia in Canterbury is seeking a Driver with Class 2 (Cat C) licence to support waste collection routes. The role requires lifting heavy bins, operating under a strict daily check regime, and using onboard tech to log work notes.

You will work 48 hours a week, Monday to Friday with Saturday and bank holiday rotas, based from Canterbury with outbase duties. Salary is £41,429.28 per annum with enhanced benefits and potential for additional daily allowances.

Qualifications

• Class 2 (Cat C) licence required.
• CPC up-to-date.
• Digi/Tachograph card required.

Responsibilities

• Driving to planned collection locations and moving/emptying multiple waste containers.
• Lifting bins of all weights and sizes while on the move.
• Completing daily vehicle checks as per operator handbook.
• Using onboard technology to complete work notes.
• Complying with traffic laws and load weight regulations.
• Keeping carriageways clean and cleaning up spills.

Salary: £41,429.28 per annum plus Veolia benefits - Weekly Pay

£5.00 Daily meal allowance

Single person allowance - Earn an extra £39.96 daily when you complete over 110 bins

Hours: 48 Hours per week, Monday to Friday 04:00am starts

Required to work Saturdays and Bank Holidays on a rota basis

Location: Based in Canterbury, CT3 4HQ with a requirement to work from our Folkestone outbase.

What you'll be doing;

• Driving to planned collection locations and moving / emptying multiple waste containers

• Completing daily checks of the vehicle as per our driver operator handbook
• Using onboard technology to complete work notes
• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including security and weight of loads
• Ensuring that the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up
