Veolia in Peterborough is looking for a Driver/Operative to join our team. You will drive to planned collection locations, move and empty waste containers, and help keep roads and communities clean.

This full-time role requires a Class 2 license and up-to-date CPC/Digi card, a can-do attitude, and strong time management. You'll work 48 hours per week, with the chance to develop your skills and contribute to essential public services.

Qualifications

• Class 2 (Cat C) licence held and up to date.
• CPC and Digi card up to date.
• Strong time management and can-do attitude.
• Team player essential for smooth collections.

Responsabilités

• Drive to planned collection locations and empty containers.
• Lift bins as required and stay active throughout shifts.
• Follow traffic laws and ensure loads meet weight limits and documentation.
• Record data in onboard system and submit paperwork daily.
• Maintain clean carriageways and manage spill cleanup.

Salary: £49,715.14 annually

What will you be doing

• Driving to planned collection locations and moving and emptying multiple waste containers.
• Lifting bins of all weights and sizes so you are always on the go!
• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including security and weight of loads
• Ensuring that the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up
• Ensuring all information is input into the onboard system and all paperwork is kept up to date and submitted daily

What are we looking for?
