Job summary

Veolia in Fleetwood is recruiting an LGV Driver to support local recycling and waste collection operations. You will drive to planned locations and load materials while adhering to safety and environmental guidelines. This role offers 40-hour weeks, Mon-Fri, with a pay rate of £14.71 per hour plus Veolia benefits.

Responsibilities

• Drive to planned collection locations and load recycling and domestic waste.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and use onboard notes.
• Comply with traffic laws and maintain a safe work environment.
• Ensure operations are carried out safely and report issues.
• Document any accidents as per procedures.
• Carry out duties according to works programmes and instructions.

What you’ll be doing;

• Driving to planned collection locations and loading recycling and domestic waste into the vehicle.
• Complete daily checks of the vehicle and use the onboard technology to complete work notes.
• Comply with all traffic laws and legislation.
• Ensure their work environment is safe and clean at all times.
• Ensure operations are carried out in a safe manner.
• Report service, safety and environmental issues.
• Ensure all accidents are documented and reported accurately as per company procedures.
• Carry out duties according to the programme of works, schedules and work instructions.

What we’re looking for;

Essential:

• Class 2 Driving Licence
• An up-to-date CPC / DIGI card.
• Ability to work confidently within a team environment.
• Must have good communication skills.
