Job summary

Veolia is seeking a reliable HGV Driver/Loader based at Dover Depot in Kent. The role involves driving to collection points, loading waste materials, performing daily vehicle checks, and using onboard systems to log notes.

Responsibilities

• Drive to planned collection locations and load recycling and domestic waste into the vehicle.
• Complete daily checks of the vehicle and record work notes using onboard tech.
• Comply with traffic laws and ensure a safe, clean work environment at all times.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure all onboard information is completed daily.
• Ensure spillages and related duties are handled in line with contract obligations.

Hours -

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 07:00 - 15:30

Pay:

£36,917.24

What you'll be doing;

• Driving to planned collection locations and loading recycling and domestic waste into the vehicle.
• Complete daily checks of the vehicle and use the onboard technology to complete work notes.
• Comply with all traffic laws and legislation and ensure their work environment is safe and clean at all times.
• Working closely with your team to ensure that all-round information is completed daily from your onboard service.
• Ensuring that Veolia complies with their contractual obligations e.g. any spillages are cleaned up.

What we're looking for;

Essential:

• HGV Driving Licence
• An up-to-date CPC / DIGI card.
• Ability to work well as a team member, with excellent communication skills.
• Strong time management skills are essential

Desirable:

• Local geographical knowledge is highly desirable
• Prior Experience in the waste industry
