Job summary

Veolia is seeking an HGV Driver (Category C/C1) based in Fulham, London, with a salary of £34,379.09 per year for a 36-hour week, Monday to Friday, 1 PM to 9 PM, including a 48-minute unpaid break. There is an option to join a 5-week cycle rota with an additional £380.04 per week.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, drive safely, report issues, and liaise with management and clients. Essential: Class 2 licence and CPC/DIGI card; strong teamwork and communication; prior waste experience

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 licence and CPC / DIGI card.
• Ability to work confidently within a team environment.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and end-of-shift vehicle inspections.
• Operate the vehicle safely and in compliance with regulations.
• Communicate with management and report any issues to the workshop.
• Ensure drivers' hours regulations and breaks are observed.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and proper maintenance.

What you'll be doing:

• Conducting pre-trip and end of shift vehicle inspections to ensure road worthiness and safety compliance.
• Operating the vehicle safely while adhering to traffic laws and HGV-specific regulations.
• Communicating with Management.
• Reporting any mechanical issues to the workshop.
• Ensuring compliance with drivers' hours regulations and taking mandatory rest breaks.
• Prior experience working within Waste sorting any issues and full compliance of our on-boarding ECHO.
• Maintaining a professional working relationship with Management and our clients.
• Following health and safety protocols.
• Keeping the vehicle clean and properly maintained.

What we're looking for:

• Essential: Class 2 licence required
• An up-to-date CPC / DIGI card.
• Ability to work confidently within a team environment.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Desired: Prior experience working within Waste
