Job summary

Veolia is seeking a HGV Class 2 Driver in London to join our fleet in Fulham. You will conduct inspections, drive safely under HGV regulations, and liaise with management while ensuring compliance and vehicle upkeep.

The role is 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a competitive annual salary and Veolia benefits. Join our team delivering essential services to local communities while upholding safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to work confidently within a team.
• Must have good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-trip and end of shift vehicle inspections for safety.
• Drive the vehicle safely while following traffic laws and HGV rules.
• Communicate with Management and report issues to the workshop.
• Ensure drivers' hours regulations and rest breaks are observed.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and proper maintenance.

Salary: £33,377.76 per annum plus Veolia benefits.

Hours: 36 hours, Monday to Friday, 6am - 14:30pm, 48 mins unpaid break

Location: Hammersmith and Fulham, Bagleys Lane, Fulham, SW6 2QA

What you'll be doing;

• Conducting pre-trip and end of shift vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance.
• Operating the vehicle safely while adhering to traffic laws and HGV-specific regulations.
• Communicating with Management.
• Reporting any mechanical issues to the workshop.
• Ensuring compliance with drivers' hours regulations and taking mandatory rest breaks.
• Reporting any issues and full compliance of our on-boarding ECHO.
• Maintaining professional working relationship with Management and our clients.
• Following health and safety protocols.
• Keeping the vehicle clean and properly maintained.

What we're looking for;

• Essential:
• Class 2 Driving Licence
• An up-to-date CPC / DIGI card.
• Ability to work confidently within a team environment.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Desired:
• Prior experience working within Waste
