Job summary

Dorset Council UK is recruiting an LGV Driver to join the waste collection team in Bridport. You will work Monday to Friday daytime shifts, 7.5 hours per day, on local routes outdoors.

The role requires a strong focus on Health and Safety and physical fitness, with a Category C licence, current tachograph card and CPC qualification. Overtime opportunities are available, providing flexibility and potential for additional earnings.

Qualifications

• Must hold Category C driving licence.
• Current digital tachograph card.
• CPCS qualification essential.
• Good understanding of Health and Safety.
• Local knowledge of Bridport area advantageous.
• Physically fit for outdoor waste collection work.

Responsibilities

• Drive local routes on daytime shifts, five days a week.
• Work 37 hours per week with early starts and some weekend/bank holiday work.
• Opportunity to work overtime.

What You Will Be Doing

If you are looking for a driving role with variety, Monday to Friday daytime hours, 7.5 hour shifts, driving local routes, are physically fit and like working outdoors then this would be a great fit for you. We are looking for Drivers that have good understanding of Health and Safety. You must hold a minimum Category C driving licence have a current digital tachograph card and evidence of a completed Drivers CPC qualification is essential. You will work 37 hours per week with early mornings and some weekend and bank holiday working. Opportunity to work overtime is available.
