Job summary

Biffa is seeking an LGV Driver for the AM shift at Burgess Hill Depot. You will operate LGV vehicles including front/back loaders to collect and empty bins for trade waste customers, driven by strict hours and safety standards.

The role suits someone who enjoys outdoor work, uses initiative, and wants to contribute to local environmental improvement while earning a competitive hourly rate. Training is provided, with overtime opportunities on Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Full, valid LGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of road safety and drivers’ hours regulations.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Previous LGV driving experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV vehicles for waste collection and disposal across Burgess Hill area.
• Work as part of a single-person crew, outdoors, with initiative.
• Ensure safety, compliance and customer service during daily rounds.

LGV Driver - AM Shift

Location: Burgess Hill Depot
Days of work: Monday to Friday (45 hours per week)
Start Time: 04.00am
Hourly Rate: £16.87 (Occasional Saturday overtime)

Working as part of a single person crew, you will drive various modes of LGV vehicles including front and back loaders, collecting and emptying bins, from our trade waste customers.
