Job summary

Veolia is hiring a HGV Class 2 Driver in Croydon. The role offers 40 hours per week with shifts 05:00-14:00 or 07:00-16:00. Pay is £17.73 per hour, with on-site parking and overtime opportunities.

You’ll drive to collection locations, manage jobs via tablet, perform daily vehicle checks, and ensure paperwork and onboard data are up to date. Benefits include generous leave, pension, training, and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Cat C (Class 2) licence is essential.
• Up-to-date Driver CPC is required.
• Digi/tachograph card must be held.

Responsibilities

• Drive to planned and ad-hoc collection locations, collecting fly tipped material, bags and bins.
• Use a tablet to receive and manage jobs.
• Lift items of all weights and sizes.
• Complete daily checks of the vehicle as per the driver/operator handbook.
• Ensure all information is entered into the onboard system and paperwork is kept up to date daily.
• Comply with all traffic laws and load security requirements.
• Keep the carriageway clean and clean up any spillages.
• Bank holiday working is required.

• Ensuring that the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up
• Bank holiday working is required

What we're looking for;

Essential:

• Cat C (Class 2) licence Up
• Up to date driver CPC
• Digi / Tachograph card

Desirable:

• RCV/Waste Industry Experience
• Clean driving licence
