DHL Supply Chain in South Shields is seeking a Class 1 HGV Driver for a permanent role. You will deliver goods safely and on time, with early start times and a 48-hour work week.

Qualificações

• 12 months recent driving experience required.
• Valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E) and Driver CPC qualification required.

Responsabilidades

• Drive safely and efficiently in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive.
• Comply with health and safety standards and The Highway Code.
• Carry out routine vehicle checks.
• Perform trunking runs from the brewery to various sites for dray operations.
• Handle drop‑and‑swap trailer movements.

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time 48hrs pw)

Shift patterns: Monday-Friday. Start times between 03:00-04:00

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Complying with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
• Regular completion of vehicle checks
• Completing trunking runs from the brewery to various sites such as warehouse feeds for dray operations
• Performing drop‑and‑swap trailer movements

This Role Would Suit People Who

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C+E), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Have 12 months recent driving experience
• Are confident working independently, managing time well, and handling drop‑and‑swap trailer movements safely.
