DHL Asia Pacific Shared Services is hiring a Class 1 Driver at our Skelmersdale site. You will be responsible for the safe, timely movement of automotive parts across the UK network, operating double-deck trailers and complying with driving regulations.

Responsibilities

• Trunking collections and deliveries between UK Distribution Centres using double-deck trailers.

• Driving safely and in compliance with Driver Hours regulations and Working Time Directive.
• Completing vehicle checks and ensuring transport documentation accuracy.
• Maintaining high health and safety standards and following The Highway Code and company procedures.

Pay Rate: £41, 691.78
Grade: RCS P
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: 50 hours Monday - Friday start times between 12:30pm and 2:30pm
Location: Skelmersdale, WN8 8DY

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Class 1 Driver to join our Skelmersdale site, playing a key role in keeping our supply chain moving.

Working as part of a dedicated transport team, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of automotive parts across our UK network, helping to ensure deliveries reach their destination on time, every time.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Trunking collections and deliveries of automotive parts between Distribution Centres across the UK using double-deck trailers
• Carrying out manual handling duties, including the loading and unloading of trailersDriving safely, professionally and efficiently in line with Drivers' Hours regulations and the Working Time Directive
• Completing vehicle checks and ensuring all transport documentation is completed accurately
• Maintaining the highest standards of health and safety, complying with The Highway Code, road safety legislation and company procedures at all times

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence, Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Have at least 12 months of recent Class 1 driving experience
• Are comfortable carrying out manual handling activities as part of the role
• Are reliable, self-motivated and committed to delivering excellent standards of service
