Job summary

DHL is seeking a Class 1 Driver for our Skelmersdale site to move automotive parts across the UK network, ensuring on-time deliveries and safe operation. You will join a specialist transport team and support a fast-moving supply chain.

The role requires a Class 1 licence with CPC and Tachograph, and a minimum of 12 months experience. We offer a competitive pension, 33 days leave, private GP access and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, Driver CPC and Tachograph card.
• At least 12 months Class 1 driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Trunking collections and deliveries between UK Distribution Centres using double-deck trailers.
• Loading and unloading trailers and completing vehicle checks.
• Drive safely and in compliance with Drivers' Hours regulations and the Working Time Directive.
• Complete transport documentation accurately and maintain health and safety standards.

Class 1 Driver An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Class 1 Driver to join our Skelmersdale site, playing a key role in keeping our supply chain moving. Working as part of a dedicated transport team, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of automotive parts across our UK network, helping to ensure deliveries reach their destination on time, every time.

A typical day may involve:

• Trunking collections and deliveries of automotive parts between Distribution Centres across the UK using double-deck trailers
• Carrying out manual handling duties, including the loading and unloading of trailers
• Driving safely, professionally and efficiently in line with Drivers' Hours regulations and the Working Time Directive
• Completing vehicle checks and ensuring all transport documentation is completed accurately
• Maintaining the highest standards of health and safety, complying with The Highway Code, road safety legislation and company procedures at all times

This role would suit people who:

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence, Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Have at least 12 months of recent Class 1 driving experience
• Are comfortable carrying out manual handling activities as part of the role
• Are reliable, self-motivated and committed to delivering excellent standards of service
