Zusammenfassung

Yorkshire Water is seeking a Water Quality Scientist - Potable to join the Water Quality team. You will lead incident responses, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide expert support across production and distribution to protect public health and water quality.

You will work across site, office and home settings, with a standby rota and ongoing development opportunities within the Water Quality progression plan.

Qualifikationen

• Understanding of water quality processes and regulatory obligations.
• Ability to respond to incidents to protect public health and minimise impacts on water quality.
• Strong written and verbal communication for reports and stakeholder briefings.
• Proven problem-solving skills under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to fault-find processes and systems.
• Ability to handle large, diverse data and spot compliance risks.
• Proactive, can-do attitude with planning for the future and handling unforeseen events.
• Excellent influencing and networking skills with stakeholders across Yorksire Water and partners.

Aufgaben

• Lead coordinated, planned responses to incidents across the business.
• Prepare regulator and senior management reports and review team exception reports.
• Ensure compliance with Performance Commitments and risk indices.
• Provide water quality support to internal teams and external stakeholders on a 1 in 5 week basis.
• Support key initiatives related to Water Quality Compliance, Customer Contacts, Network, Production and Capital.
