Job summary
Yorkshire Water is seeking a Water Quality Sampling Officer (Tankering) to join the Water Service Delivery team. You will carry out sampling from tankers, customers and assets, ensuring strict adherence to sampling procedures and ISO17025 standards, with accurate records and timely reporting.
The role travels across Yorkshire, includes driving a company van, and supports constant delivery of safe drinking water.
Qualifications
- Good teamwork and customer relations.
- Basic IT skills and willingness to learn IT packages.
- Experience delivering excellent customer service and resolving contacts.
- Able to work under pressure and meet targets.
- Willingness to travel across Yorkshire and undertake site/testing work.
Responsibilities
- Carry out sampling following deployment of tankers to assure water quality.
- Comply with WQ Sampling procedures, QMS and ISO17025 accreditation.
- Carry out on-site tests including chlorine measurement and participate in proficiency testing.
- Demonstrate ongoing competence through audit and CPD.
- Record activities accurately using corporate systems.
- Identify and report issues affecting water quality.
