Job summary

Metro Rod Edinburgh is seeking a Drainage Engineer to carry out cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of drains, using high-pressure water jetting and surveying techniques. You will document work in our internal systems and deliver excellent customer service to a diverse client base.

We offer an on-call rota (24/7) and a growing Franchise Brands network structure, with ongoing safety training, a company pension and holiday entitlement as part of a supportive development culture.

Qualifications

• Experience handling high pressure water jetting and surveying drainage systems.
• Minimum two years in commercial drainage with a problem-solving mindset.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility for unsociable hours.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of drains.
• Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to standard safety levels.
• Carry out surveys and record job details in internal systems.
• Provide excellent customer service to commercial and domestic clients.
• Participate in on-call rota to service clients 24/7, 365 days a year.

Within the Waste & Water Services Division of Franchise Brands, is also Willow Pumps and Filta. Two expanding businesses that focus on sewage pumps and commercial kitchen solutions. Together, the brands provide a complete one-stop shop for keeping water and waste flowing.

What does it entail?

• Carrying out a range of services associated with the cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of our customers' drains
• Operation of High-Pressure Water Jetting Equipment in line with rigorous safety standards
• Carrying out surveys
• Providing an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise
• Accurately recording work/job details via a range of bespoke internal/client systems and applications
• Communicate effectively with high profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times
• Being part of an on-call rota to help service our clients 24/7 / 365 days a year. This would be one week in four- variable according to business needs

What experience do we look for?
