Job summary

Metro Rod Edinburgh is seeking a proactive Drainage Engineer to join our team, performing cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of clients' drains across commercial properties.

You will operate high-pressure water jetting equipment, carry out surveys, and deliver excellent customer service while recording job details. A full UK driving licence and a flexible, on-call attitude are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• High pressure water jetting experience.
• Surveying experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in commercial drainage.
• Excellent problem-solving ability with sound technical knowledge.
• Have a positive, flexible, can-do attitude.
• Willing to work some unsociable hours.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out a range of services associated with the cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of our customers’ drains
• Operation of High-Pressure Water Jetting Equipment in line with rigorous safety standards
• Carrying out surveys
• Providing an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise
• Accurately recording work/job details via a range of bespoke internal/client systems and applications
• Communicate effectively with high profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times
• Being part of an on-call rota to help service our clients 24/7 / 365 days a year. This would be one week in four- variable according to business needs
