Job summary

Sainsbury’s is looking for a Customer Delivery Driver in the Norwich area to bring groceries straight to customers’ doors with energy, warmth and care. You’ll be the friendly face behind a reliable online shopping service, ensuring orders arrive in great condition and on time.

You’ll drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, perform safety checks, and follow routes with attention to road conditions. A strong customer focus and flexibility to help in-store when needed are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 with a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months and no more than 6 points.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Will complete an online driving risk assessment and a driving assessment on joining.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Sainsbury’s at doorstep deliveries, delivering a warm, helpful service.
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries on time and in good condition.
• Perform van checks to ensure roadworthiness, cleanliness and cargo security.
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in varying traffic, weather and road conditions.
• Move containers up to 15 kg and deliver shopping to varied properties, including stairs or lifts.
• Communicate clearly with customers, updating them on delays or changes to orders.
• When not delivering, assist across the store as needed.
