Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to represent the brand at customers' doors. You will deliver groceries in a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, ensuring timeliness and care with every order.

Responsibilities include vehicle checks, route planning, and safe driving across varied environments. When not delivering, you may support store tasks, contributing to a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• Must have strong customer service focus and a friendly, helpful attitude.
• Safe driving skills with experience handling larger vehicles.
• Ability to plan efficient routes to meet delivery windows.
• Capable of solving problems calmly while on the road.
• Able to work well independently and as part of a store team.
• Flexible and willing to take on additional tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Sainsbury’s at every doorstep you deliver to and make customers feel valued.
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries on time and in good condition.
• Carry out vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness, cleanliness and security of goods.
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in varied locations and conditions.
• Move containers up to 15kg and deliver shopping to diverse properties including steps or lifts.
• Communicate clearly with customers about delays or changes to orders.
• Assist in-store tasks when not out making deliveries.
