Job summary

Sainsbury’s is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to join our delivery operation. You will be the face of the brand, delivering groceries door-to-door with energy, warmth and care, ensuring orders arrive on time and in great condition.

You will drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, perform basic vehicle checks, and assist with store tasks when not on deliveries. A focus on safety and customer service is essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 and hold a full UK driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points
• Right to Work in the UK
• Able to operate a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van and comply with safety standards

Responsibilities

• Deliver groceries to customers at their doorstep in a friendly, helpful manner
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van and ensure on-time deliveries in good condition
• Perform vehicle checks, keep van clean and organised, secure customer orders
• Follow planned routes, drive safely in varying conditions
• Lift containers up to 15kg and deliver to multiple property types
• Communicate clearly with customers about delays or changes to orders
• Assist store team when not out on deliveries
