About the Role

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join the Medirest team as Domestic Assistants. You will play a vital role in infection control, helping the hospital operate smoothly and deliver essential medical services. This isn’t just any cleaning job — it’s a role that makes a real difference.

Responsibilities

1. High and low dusting, mopping, wiping, and scrubbing surfaces.
2. Cleaning wards, side rooms, toilets, showers, infected and public areas.
3. Maintaining rubbish bins and removing waste when full.
4. Ensuring all areas are clean, presentable, and safe, following policies and procedures.
5. Using equipment safely and in accordance with health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills

• Passionate about patient care, with effective communication skills with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Able to work under pressure, independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach.
• Comfortable working in a hospital environment, understanding that you may encounter unwell or distressed patients.
• No previous experience as a Domestic Assistant is required; pride in your work and a willingness to learn are what matter most.
• This role is subject to a Disclosure & Barring Service check; costs are covered by the employer.
