About the Role

We are seeking a Domestic Assistant to join the Medirest family. You will play a vital role in infection control, helping the hospital operate smoothly and deliver essential medical services. This is more than just a cleaning job; it's a position where your work makes a real difference.

Responsibilities

1. High and low dusting, mopping, wiping, and scrubbing surfaces.
2. Cleaning wards, side rooms, toilets, showers, infected and public areas.
3. Maintaining rubbish bins and ensuring they are emptied when full.
4. Ensuring all areas are clean, presentable, and safe for visitors by following policies and procedures.
5. Using equipment in accordance with health and safety guidelines.

Candidate Requirements

• Passionate about patient care with effective communication skills with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff.
• Ability to work under pressure, individually and as part of a team, with a flexible approach.
• Comfortable working in a hospital environment and interacting with unwell or distressed patients.
• No previous experience as a Domestic Assistant is necessary; pride in your work and willingness to learn are what matter most.
• This position requires a Disclosure & Barring Service check, with costs covered by the employer.
