We have a new opportunity for a Domestic Assistant to join the Medirest team. We are seeking dedicated individuals to provide outstanding cleaning services for patients, visitors, and staff at the hospital.

As a Domestic Assistant, you will play a crucial role in infection control, helping to keep the hospital running smoothly. Your work will directly impact the quality of medical services provided. This isn't just any cleaning job; it's a role that makes a real difference.

Responsibilities include:

1. High and low dusting, mopping, wiping, and scrubbing surfaces.
2. Cleaning wards, side rooms, toilets, showers, infected and public areas.
3. Maintaining and emptying rubbish bins.
4. Ensuring all areas are clean, presentable, and safe, following policies and procedures.
5. Using equipment safely, adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications and qualities:

• Passionate about patient care, with effective communication skills with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Ability to work under pressure, independently and as part of a team, with flexibility.
• Comfortable working in a hospital environment, aware of interacting with unwell or distressed patients.
• No prior experience as a Domestic Assistant is required; pride in your work and a willingness to learn are most important.
• This role is subject to a Disclosure & Barring Service check; costs are covered by the employer.
