About the role

We are seeking a Domestic Assistant to join the Medirest team, providing outstanding cleaning services for patients, visitors, and staff at the hospital.

Key responsibilities

1. Perform high and low dusting, mopping, wiping, and scrubbing surfaces.
2. Clean wards, side rooms, toilets, showers, infected and public areas.
3. Maintain and empty rubbish bins when full.
4. Ensure all areas are clean, presentable, and safe, following hospital policies and procedures.
5. Use equipment safely, adhering to all Health & Safety guidelines.

Candidate requirements

• Passionate about patient care with effective communication skills with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff.
• Ability to work under pressure, independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to meet the needs of the hospital.
• Comfortable working in a hospital environment, understanding that you may encounter unwell or distressed patients.
• No prior experience as a Domestic Assistant is necessary; pride in your work and willingness to learn are most important.
• This role is subject to a Disclosure & Barring Service check, with costs covered by the employer.
