Job summary

Maximus UK is hiring a Doctor Functional Assessor to apply clinical expertise in evaluating how disabilities affect daily living. You will assess veterans or neurological conditions, prepare Work Capability Assessment reports for the DWP, and provide feedback to support decision making.

The role offers formal training, ongoing mentorship and flexible hybrid working arrangements. Applicants must hold GMC registration, have at least 1 year post-registration experience, and be eligible to work in

Qualifications

• Valid GMC registration number.
• At least 1 year of broad post-registration experience gained within or outside the NHS.
• You MUST have the right to work in the UK - we cannot offer sponsorships.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life.
• Produce Work Capability Assessment (WCA) reports to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine a person’s eligibility for benefits.
• Utilise your clinical knowledge in a new setting with the support of regular feedback and supervision.
