Job summary

MAXIMUS is recruiting a Nurse Functional Assessor in the UK to utilise clinical expertise in evaluating how a disability or health condition impacts daily living. You will assess complex cases with professional training and ongoing mentorship, including WCA reporting for DWP decisions.

Qualifications

• Valid NMC registration is required.
• Minimum 1 year of broad post-registration adult or mental health experience.
• Must have the right to work in the UK – no sponsorship available.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person’s disability or health condition affects daily life.
• Produce Work Capability Assessment (WCA) reports for DWP eligibility decisions.
• Develop clinical knowledge with regular feedback and supervision.
