Job summary

Maximus is a global organisation delivering health and employment services in the UK. As a Nurse Functional Assessor you’ll use your clinical expertise to understand how a disability or health condition affects daily life, handling complex physical and mental health cases with compassion.

The role includes a tailored training programme, ongoing mentorship and the option of flexible full-time, part-time or hybrid working.

Qualifications

• Valid NMC registration number.
• At least 1 year of broad post-registration adult or mental health experience.
• Right to work in the UK; sponsorship not available.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life
• Produce Work Capability Assessment (WCA) reports to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine a person’s eligibility for benefits
• Develop your clinical knowledge and assessment skills with the support of regular feedback and supervision
