Job summary

MAXIMUS in the UK is seeking a Nurse Functional Assessor to apply clinical expertise to understand how a person’s disability or health condition affects daily life. You’ll handle complex physical and mental health cases and prepare PIP reports for DWP eligibility.

The role includes a six-week training programme with ongoing mentorship. Flexible working – full time, part time and hybrid – is available, and applicants must have valid NMC registration and at least 1 year of post‑registration

Qualifications

• Valid NMC registration is required.
• At least 1 year of post-registration adult or mental health experience.
• Right to work in the UK; no sponsorship available.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Able to produce detailed reports using computer software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to assess impact on daily life.
• Produce PIP reports for DWP eligibility.
• Develop clinical knowledge with regular feedback and supervision.
