Job summary

Maximus UK is recruiting a Doctor Functional Assessor to support the Department for Work and Pensions through expert clinical reviews and reports. The role offers flexible hours, full-time and hybrid working, with the aim of helping veterans and patients navigate benefits.

You will conduct telephone, video or in-person assessments, produce WCA reports, and collaborate with case managers to improve care and services. Applicants must be GMC registered and have post-qualification NHS experience.

Qualifications

• GMC registration with valid license to practise.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• Experience post-qualification within NHS or similar settings.
• Ability to produce clear, detailed reports.
• Right to work in the UK; sponsorship not offered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical reviews for PIP and related complaints.
• Provide case managers with advice based on assessments.
• Prepare Work Capability Assessment reports.
