Job summary

A local authority service provider in Ashford seeks an experienced Disrepair Surveyor for a 6-month ongoing contract. You will manage disrepair cases, conduct inspections, prepare specifications, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing disrepair claims within a housing or local authority environment.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Professional membership (RICS/CIOB) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Undertake inspections of occupied and void properties to identify disrepair issues.
• Prepare detailed specifications and raise works orders for operatives.
• Liaise with the Legal team on claims, acting as expert witness when required.
• Oversee contractors and ensure works meet standards.
• Identify structural defects and report findings to the Asset Team.
• Provide technical support to Repairs, Voids, and Compliance teams.
• Ensure compliance with the HHSRS and relevant legislation.
• Maintain accurate records and uphold customer service standards.
