Job summary

South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Dispatch Support Assistant in Bicester. The role supports emergency dispatchers, uses radio and computer aided dispatch systems, and requires calm, precise handling of fast-moving priorities in a busy Emergency Operations Centre.

Starting pay is £13.17 per hour with NHS enhancements; full-time shifts, parking, pension, and annual leave benefits are available. Location is Bicester, no remote working. Training begins 18 January 2027.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at minimum required.
• Experience in customer service from phone or face-to-face roles is advantageous.
• Strong IT skills and ability to use dispatch systems will help performance.

Responsibilities

• Support emergency dispatchers by following instructions and assisting with duties.
• Ensure systems are maintained and vehicle movements can be altered as advised.
• Operate radio and computer aided dispatch systems to log accurate information.
