Job summary

Job description
Direct Communications Executive

We're looking for a Direct Communications Executive to join our Customer Journeys team. You'll build and deliver our direct communication and marketing campaigns using our automation and data platforms, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketing Cloud Personalisation and Salesforce Data Cloud.

You'll use your technical, data and coding skills to shape and deliver targeted, personalised and relevant marketing communication journeys to our supporters within our emails and across our website. Reporting into our Senior Marketing Automation Manager you’ll be part of a team of marketing automation specialists within the Customer Journeys team.

What you’ll be doing
  • Design and develop workflows with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud and Marketing Cloud Personalisation.
  • Deliver 6 million email and direct mail communications monthly and deploy personalised experiences on our website.
  • Build robust, repeatable campaigns, journeys and personalised experiences with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Support our Membership and Fundraising teams in an agile environment to embed best practice.
  • Translate data briefs into campaign workflows that include customised segmentation, A/B testing, personalisation and tracking logic.
Minimum application criteria
  • Knowledge of the implementation and configuration of Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Strong data manipulation and coding skills e.g. SQL, AMPScript, JavaScript, HTML.
  • Familiarity with manipulation of customer data within a relational database.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical or data issues related to the set up or delivery of marketing campaigns.
  • Experience of setting up and delivering campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar tools such as Adobe Campaign or Pardot.
  • Experience of delivering personalised experiences across both email and web.
  • Understanding of data protection legislation and its practical application in direct marketing.
  • Understanding of digital customer journeys.
  • Communication and collaboration skills.
  • Adept at dealing with change.

Please note the advertised salary is inclusive of a £10,000 reviewable market supplement. Your base salary will be £37,500 and you’ll receive the market supplement as an allowance on top.
