A major UK transport service provider is seeking a Digital Content Editor to enhance its digital channels, particularly GWR.com. This role involves managing content, optimizing for SEO, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure a user-friendly experience. Ideal candidates will possess strong editorial skills, an understanding of digital content strategies, and experience with analytics tools like Google Analytics. This position offers the flexibility to work from Exeter, Paddington, or Plymouth, with some travel required across the network.
This role can be based in our Paddington, Exeter or Plymouth offices.
We're looking for a Digital Content Editor to manage and optimise our digital channels, including our GWR.com website. In this role, you'll ensure content is clear, accurate, accessible and meets user needs. You'll drive organic growth by leading on-page SEO and supporting the wider SEO function across technical and off-page practices.
Using tools like Google Analytics and Search Console, you'll identify opportunities, improve engagement and deliver data-driven enhancements for our website. Collaborating with stakeholders, you'll bring their information to life online through effective communication and promotion, while championing digital best practices.
This role combines communication, content optimisation and stakeholder engagement to deliver content that enhances commercial goals and customer experience. To support with collaboration, occasional travel across the GWR network is required.
This role is part of our Retail team, who manage and deliver GWR's digital channels. The Retail team works out of three main locations, London Paddington, Exeter and Plymouth, therefore you can be primarily based in any of these offices.
To ensure collaboration and support for our stakeholders, some travel to other locations on the GWR network will be required on occasion.
