Overview

Development and Delivery Manager — 251480. Location: Maryport or Kendal – hybrid working across North-West development sites and from home. Permanent, full time (37.5 hpw). Salary: £35,000-£45,000 per annum (negotiable on experience).

You’ll be delivering new-homes schemes of mixed tenure across the North-West region on time and to budget, ensuring an excellent offer for our customers and communities always lies at the heart of delivery. Working across both development and delivery, this is a unique opportunity to manage projects from start to finish and to continue to develop your skills to Senior Manager as you grow with us.

Responsibilities
  • Work across project stages, from identifying sites and project appraisals to securing planning permission, completion of legals, site handovers to the end of the Defects Liability period.
  • Carefully manage budgets and expenditure, keeping projects on track and meeting performance targets while delivering real value.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with developers and contractors, ensuring projects are managed with rigour and diligence to meet the highest standards.
  • Oversee compliance and design-led quality across all developments, keeping customers’ needs at the heart of every decision.
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver market-leading homes and ensure customer outcomes are prioritized.

You’ll work alongside an award-winning team who are winners of the 2018 UK housing awards Development Programme of the Year and achieved silver for best house at the What House Awards 2018 (bronze in 2017).

You bring
  • Proven project management experience, delivering multi-site residential-led development sites to design standards.
  • Experience in the commercial aspects of housing development, including planning, contractor procurement, contractor management through to sales.
  • Strong project management skills, with a track record of working with contractors to deliver design-driven, compliant, and efficient schemes. You have delivered complex, mixed-tenure new home projects to time and budget.
  • Great knowledge and experience in the planning system and laws to implement compliant and approved schemes.
  • An eye for detail, be a great influencer, organiser and driver to handle multiple priorities across different schemes. You work seamlessly with partners, customers, and colleagues alike.

You’ll report to Kerry, our Senior Development and Delivery Manager who are passionate about delivering market leading homes of the highest quality for our customers.

Job details

Working Monday to Friday, you’ll shape your own diary around work and your own commitments. This is a hybrid role, so you’ll spend two days in our office at Maryport, the others across our development sites and from home. You must be able to use technology for delivering projects and managing budgets, online learning and collaborating with colleagues.
