Job summary

Banham Poultry (2018) Limited is seeking an experienced Despatch Manager to lead its busy warehouse and despatch operations. You will ensure orders are picked, loaded and dispatched safely, accurately and on time while upholding the highest standards of food safety and quality.

You will collaborate with Production, Planning and Transport, manage labour and continuously improve performance, culture, and customer service. A hands-on leader who motivates teams will fit well.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a warehouse, despatch or logistics operation.
• Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing or fast-paced operations.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop teams.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Experience managing KPIs and driving improvements.
• Good understanding of warehouse operations and customer service.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety, Food Safety and Quality standards.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Despatch team and warehouse operations, ensuring safe, accurate and timely dispatches.
• Collaborate with Production, Planning and Transport to meet customer deadlines.
• Drive continuous improvement and monitor KPIs for performance and service levels.
• Manage labour planning, training and performance within the department.
• Maintain stock accuracy and overall warehouse efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety, GMP and Health & Safety standards.
• Foster a positive, high-performing culture and develop team capability.
