Henderson Brown Recruitment Ltd is assisting a fast-paced FMCG business in Lincolnshire to hire an experienced Despatch Team Leader for the Despatch and Operations team.

You will manage day-to-day despatch activities, ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time, drive KPI performance, supervise stock rotation, and oversee paperwork and systems, while leading by example in a busy depot environment.

Competenze

• Experience in despatch, warehouse, logistics or stock control environments.
• FMCG/food manufacturing exposure is preferred.
• Ability to manage team performance against KPIs and targets.
• Strong communication with cross-department collaboration.
• Proficient with Microsoft applications and data handling.
• Counterbalance forklift licence is desirable.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Despatch Team Leader to join a successful FMCG business and play a key role within their Despatch and Operations team.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Despatch team, ensuring depot customer orders are fulfilled accurately, in full and on time. You'll oversee team performance against departmental KPIs, ensure stock is picked correctly and in rotation, and make sure all relevant paperwork and systems are completed in line with company procedures. The role will also involve carrying out and monitoring pre-use checks on trailers and MHE, escalating any defects, shortages or potential delays, and investigating issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

The successful candidate will have previous experience within a despatch, warehouse, logistics or stock control environment, ideally within FMCG. Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills are essential, along with good numerical ability and attention to detail. Experience using Microsoft applications, emails and databases is required, while experience within FMCG and a Counterbalance Forklift Licence would be highly advantageous. You'll need to be a proactive and hands-on team player who can lead by example and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
