Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe is seeking an experienced Despatch Manager to lead the Attleborough site’s despatch and logistics operations. You will collaborate with Production, Planning, Technical, and Supply Chain teams to ensure on-time delivery, stock accuracy, and high service levels while upholding Food Safety and Health & Safety standards.

The role emphasizes leadership of Despatch and Warehouse teams, KPI management, and continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced food manufacturing

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in food manufacturing, FMCG, or food distribution.
• Experience managing warehouse, logistics, despatch, or supply chain operations.
• Strong understanding of Food Safety, GMP, HACCP, and Health & Safety requirements.
• Ability to manage KPIs, stock accuracy, and operational performance.
• Strong people leadership, coaching, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products are stored and distributed in line with Food Safety, GMP, and customer requirements.

• Lead continuous improvement and Operational Excellence initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, HACCP, and site standards.

Lead Logistics Operations in a Fast-Paced Food Manufacturing Environment!

Pilgrim's Europe is looking for an experienced Despatch Manager to join our Attleborough site.

This role is critical to ensuring the efficient movement of raw materials and finished products within a high-volume food manufacturing operation. Working closely with Production, Planning, Technical, and Supply Chain teams, you'll lead the warehouse and despatch function to deliver outstanding service levels, stock accuracy, and operational performance while maintaining the highest standards of Food Safety, Quality, and Health & Safety.

Key Responsibilities

About You

Essential

• Previous leadership experience within a food manufacturing, FMCG, or food distribution environment.
• Experience managing warehouse, logistics, despatch, or supply chain operations.
• Strong understanding of Food Safety, GMP, HACCP, and Health & Safety requirements.
• Proven ability to manage KPIs, stock accuracy, and operational performance.
• Strong people leadership, coaching, and problem-solving skills.

Desirable

• SAP and/or Innova experience.
• Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, or Continuous Improvement experience.
• Food Safety or HACCP qualifications.
