Job summary

Axiom Technologies in the United Kingdom is seeking a capable Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite/ on-call assistance within the organization’s desktop computing environment, ensuring timely and accurate service delivery in Warwick.

Responsibilities include first- and second-level support for desktops, laptops, printers, troubleshooting, OS installations, onboarding/offboarding, VPN support, and collaboration with IT teams to maintain security and asset documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent).
• 1+ year in a desktop support/helpdesk/IT technician role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Office 365, and basic networking.
• Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Zendesk, or JIRA.

Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-level support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
• Respond to service requests and incidents via ticketing system, phone, or in-person.
• Install, upgrade, and maintain operating systems (Windows/macOS/Linux) and software applications.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and peripheral issues (monitors, keyboards, docking stations, etc.).
• Set up and configure new employee workstations, including user accounts and permissions.
• Maintain asset inventory and documentation of IT equipment.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding of employees from a technical perspective.
• Support remote users with VPN, remote desktop, and connectivity issues.
• Collaborate with other IT teams on escalated issues or project-related tasks.
• Follow security protocols and assist with antivirus, patching, and data protection policies.
