Key Requirements
  • Qualified to ITIL or willing to complete training, with a good practical understanding of core ITIL functions (CM / IM / PM / RM and Configuration Management) and their interaction to support IT and the Business.
  • BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) clearance - this post is subject to BPSS checks. You will need to consent to and comply with BPSS checks, which involve verification of identity, nationality and immigration status, employment history (past 3 years), and a basic criminal record check.

Role Overview

This role involves supporting the ICT Desktop team, managing computers and systems supporting all Council services and departments. The ICT Service supports over 9,000 users across Manchester City Council network and remotely.

Ideal Candidate
  • Experience with Service Desk operations and ServiceNow
  • Proficiency in Desktop Support, MS products, operating systems, and applications
  • Basic LAN/WAN support knowledge
  • Active Directory Administration and experience with MECM and MS Endpoint Manager
