Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Design Technology Teacher to join a partner secondary school in South Yorkshire. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity to inspire students with engaging DT lessons, developing creative, technical and problem-solving skills.

You will deliver across Key Stages 3 and 4, cover a range of DT specialisms, and plan, assess and differentiate lessons. The role includes weekly PAYE pay, CPD access, and ongoing support from an experienced recruitment

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Design Technology within a secondary school.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Genuine passion for practical and creative education.
• Ability to motivate and engage young learners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and differentiated Design Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Teach a range of DT specialisms, including Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, or Graphics.
• Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Create a safe and stimulating workshop environment.
• Support students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential.
• Contribute to the wider school community and departmental development.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
