Job summary

TeacherActive is partnering with a mainstream secondary school in Leeds to appoint a Design Technology Teacher for day-to-day or long-term roles. You will teach across KS3/KS4, support GCSE studies, and have the option to assist A Level students. Immediate start and a PAYE arrangement are offered.

The role requires QTS with a DT specialism, strong classroom management, and excellent communication. Competitive daily rates apply, with ongoing CPD support available.

Qualifications

• QTS with a Design Technology specialism (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)
• Experience teaching Design Technology across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Experience supporting students with GCSE preparation
• A Level teaching or support experience is desirable
• Excellent classroom management
• Strong communication skills and an adaptable approach

Responsibilities

• Teach Design Technology across KS3 and KS4, supporting GCSE preparation
• Engage students through practical and theory-based learning while promoting high standards
• Adapt instruction to day-to-day or long-term placements
• Support A Level students when required
