Teacher of Design Technology (Resistance Materials / Woodwork)

East London (E16)

Start Date: January 2026

⏰ Contract: Full-time or Part-time

Principal Education is working in partnership with a secondary school in East London (E16) to recruit a Teacher of Design Technology, specialising in Resistance Materials / Woodwork, for a January 2026 start.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate DT teacher to deliver engaging lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Years 9-13). The school is open to both full-time and part-time applicants and welcomes interest from experienced teachers without QTS, although QTS is preferred.

The successful candidate will:
  • Have experience teaching Design Technology with a focus on resistance materials / woodwork
  • Be confident teaching across secondary and post-16 age ranges
  • Hold QTS (preferred), though experienced non-QTS teachers are encouraged to apply
  • Be committed to high standards of teaching, learning and student progress
