Job summary

A Main Contractor / Developer based in the UK is seeking an experienced Design Manager to work on a prestigious 40+ storey tower project in East London. The ideal candidate will have a degree, a minimum of 5 years of post-qualified experience, and a solid understanding of the RIBA process. This role offers the chance to be part of an elite Project Team and contribute to some of the highest profile projects in London, ensuring compliance and best practice throughout the design process.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years post qualified experience is required.
  • Experience with Tier 1 Main Contractor / Developer.
  • Understanding of the RIBA process is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the design plan with the Head of Design.
  • Coordinate various RIBA design stage processes.
  • Ensure compliance with current legislation and standards.

Our client, a Main Contractor / Developer, requiring no introduction, has recently broken ground on £100m+ build project in East London. We have been asked to supply a top class Design Manager to support the Head of Design on this 40+ storey tower project.............

  • Have you worked on high rise, high profile build projects in London?

Design Manager roles & responsibilities :
  • Working with the Head of Design to develop the design plan / final design solution
  • Coordinating and working through various RIBA deisgn stage processes
  • Maintaining company policy / best practice at all times
  • Ensure the design process recognises compliancy issues, current legislation, standards and codes of practice
  • Recording and communicating all design amends
Design Manager experience required :
  • Minimum 5 years post qualified experience
  • Tier 1 Main Contractor / Developer experience
  • Major Project experience
  • Degree educated
  • Full understanding and experience of working the RIBA process
