Qualifications

  • Full UK driving licence.

Role Summary

This role will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and external designers to develop practical and safe engineering solutions that integrate seamlessly with construction methodology and programme requirements. The position would suit an Engineer with a strong understanding of temporary works and structural design, looking to take ownership of design delivery and gain exposure to some of the UK's most unique and challenging heritage projects.

Job Overview
  • Produce and review temporary works designs (shoring, propping, cofferdams, access, marine structures).
  • Prepare design briefs, calculations, drawings and risk assessments to BS 5975.
  • Provide technical support to site teams, resolving design queries during delivery.
  • Coordinate with Temporary Works Coordinators, subcontractors and designers to ensure safe implementation.
  • Integrate designs within overall construction sequencing and environmental constraints.
  • Promote innovation, digital design (AutoCAD, BIM) and continuous improvement.
Job Requirements
