Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a Deputy Service Manager for our Woodley residential service. This 37.5-hour role combines leadership with direct support, reporting to the Registered Manager to ensure high standards of care and regulatory compliance.

You will lead a team of Support Workers, oversee person-centred plans, risk assessments and audits, and contribute to service development and community engagement. A Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

Experience in supervisory, senior support or care management roles.
Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.
Strong knowledge of person-centred support, safeguarding and quality compliance.
Organised, confident leader with excellent communication.
Full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead, motivate and develop the support team with regular supervision and appraisal.
Oversee development and implementation of person-centred support plans.
Complete care needs and risk assessments, conduct medication competencies and audits.
Ensure accurate record keeping and reporting; maintain regulatory compliance.
Build positive relationships with people we support, their families and professionals.
Attend multidisciplinary meetings; contribute to service improvements and activities.
