Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a passionate Deputy Service Manager for a residential service in Tilehurst, Reading. The role combines management with direct support, ensuring high standards of care and regulatory compliance to enable adults with complex needs to live fulfilling lives.

You will lead a team of Support Workers, develop person-centred plans, manage on-call duties, and collaborate with families and professionals to drive service improvements.

Qualifications

• Leadership and supervisory abilities in a care setting.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Understanding of person-centred care, safeguarding and quality compliance.
• Experience supporting people with complex needs

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of Support Workers through supervision and performance management.
• Support the Registered Manager with day-to-day operation and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and implement person-centred support plans and complete risk assessments.
• Attend multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to service improvements.
